Trust Deed Sale California

Question: California defaulted Trust Deed note sale?
We have a second Trust Deed on a property in California, and the person in the third position has filed for default. It went to sell and no one place a bid on the property. Since no one place a bid on this property, how many days does the new owner have to pay us off by law.
Answer: 30

Question: Should I report them to the police? ?
Several months ago my husband purchased a home for his brother. He didn't tell me about this, he lied about it for months. I forgave him for my children, but just yesterday we were going to file our taxes and it turns out that my information was used as well. I'm assuming that his sister-in-law used my info, posed as me and signed the Deed of Trust.
I accused my husband, and he acted dumb about everything. I checked online, and she PRINTED (can they even do that?) my name on the dang deed.
I have no idea what to do! I want to contact the crooked lawyer, and send my husband and his thieving family to jail...but i can't imagine my husband not being there for our children...and worse him in prison.
I want to do something, I just want to be smart about it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Answer: This happens more than people think...sadly.
You need to do two things and two things now. First, is to set up an appointment with an attorney to discuss this. Second, during the discussion ask her/him if she/he would be the one to contact the mortgage lender.
Your problem is that you, along with him, are financially liable for the purchase of the home. The question you have to ask yourself is are you willing to have this hanging around your neck financially if something goes wrong and the payments cannot be made? You truly need to get your name removed from any/all financial obligations.
As for printing a signature it can be done as long as that is how they sign for everything.
As for your husband...time to make a choice as to whether you want to stay with someone who pulls a stunt like this too. I'd be questioning everything he has done and may do in the future too. That's my opinion but you have to make the decision.
Good luck...you definitely need it now.
