Question: How to file a lien in Montgomery County Texas?
I have a promissory note (dated 6/1/2002) secured by a Deed of Trust that has never been filed with the county. How do I place a lien so that I would be paid if the house is sold?
Answer: The SOL has already passed. You had 4 years to get that filed, it has been well over that. There is no possible way you would be awarded a lien.
