Trust Deed Amendment

trust deed amendment
Question: How do I know for sure if the family trust is ended? Do I take the word of the other beneficiary's?

I would like to believe my sister's, but I came across some gaperword that recorded in the Official Records of my county. An affidavit was filed for Incompetence. At that time my father was not incompetent, he was just old (90) and needed help with his affairs. It stated in the trust that there has to be (2) phycians letters submitted, by (2) different phycians, not by only (1) that supposebly signed both letters. The attorney said that the letter was recorded as an error, and that he would enter an amendment to take care of this, eventhough it was recorded June, 2006. He passed away April, 2007. Can this be changed or could my sister be liable for the action that she's taken. How long does it take to put the house in all (4) of are names, when the trust ending took place 8-14-07 Where would I look for an amendment to the Deed of Trust, in the Grantor/Grantee index where it originally took place. Looking foward to hearing from you. Thank you TF

Answer: If you are worried about the Trust Deed and if it has all of your names on it, you can go to the County Recorders office in the county that the property is located and ask for a copy. It is public record and anyone can go get a copy of it.

Question: how do i change the name my name onto the deed for land i inherited?

my mom recently passed away and i inherited some land from her. the land is in california and i live in nevada. im looking to sell it cause i could use some extra cash. but first i need to put it in my name. her attorny who did her trust said it would cost $2000 to do this and i would have to wait 6 months from her death to do it. is there a cheaper way that i could do it myself? what forms would i need? and is it true that i have to wait 6 months from her death? i dont know if i trust him he seems shady and i heard he works with a guy that owns a lot of land where mine is.

Answer: Contact a local title company in where the property is located they will tell you the truth. They have nothing to gain.
