Question: Could a Deed of Trust exist without being filed showing another owner?
If there was a transfer of deed after 1989, could the deed exist and not be filed with Dallas County Records
Answer: Yes it can but it may be worthless depending on who signed it and when. Trying to claim property ownership via an unrecorded deed is tough but property rights are very highly regarded in our legal system so those claims are thoroughly investigated before being settled.
