Deed Of Trust Search

deed of trust search
Question: I am searching for a CA grant deed form for transfer of property from a trust to an individual. Can you help?

Answer: The county in which the property is located may be researchable in an online database for the Recorder's Office for that county, but not for 'viewing' of the document itself. Most likely you will only see the type of document recorded, the date and document number. To 'see' the document will require a personal visit to that particular recorder's office. Some of the more progressive ones have public-access computers that you can sit at and view it on a screen. To do that, you need first to have the name of the grantor or grantee or document number. If none are available, the a stop by the assessor's office (maybe in the same building) can help you with finding that.

Note: Or did I misunderstand and you're just looking for a blank form??? Stationary stores carry them. You can find blank forms on line and in the Nolo self-help books.
