Deed Of Trust Ohio

deed of trust ohio
Question: should my name be on the deed to my husband's house?

My husband was a widower when we met 11 years ago. We've been married for 10 years in Cleveland, OH. My husband won't put my name on the deed to the house and I don't know why. He has trust issues and thinks my mother has a financial interest. The house is 70 years old and she has no interest in the home to begin with. He doesn't understand this. My mother has been pushing me for the past 11 years to get him to put me on the deed. There is no mortgage. The house is his and both his kids would inherit the house after both of us are gone. I don't know how to word it to my husband about putting my name on the deed. Also, I'd like to know what the laws are in the state of Ohio regarding this issue. If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. You can email me at [email protected] not the other email address.

Answer: Your Mother has no interest !! But has been pushing you for 11 years ??
If anything happened to him you would still have a roof over your head as his wife
I think your mother has a financial interest in it
Your husband is securing his children's future that's all
No one can make him put your name on the deeds
Maybe he thinks you will sell it
And his children will get nothing ?
